Hi Everyone,
And yes I understand that “everyone” doesn’t actually include anyone yet, as this is my first blog entry, but who cares anyway.
So I was having a conversation with my mate Freddy who’s helping me design a website, when our conversation digressed from html to one’s purpose in life - I know, effortless segue there. Anyway I started rambling on about how I’m aiming to improve all aspects of my life which has led me to read more books on psychology, NLP, emotional intelligence and the like.
He then asked me, “So do you blog as well?”. And I told him outright that I never felt compelled to write (i could never keep up any journal writing in fact). He then rebutted quite considerately “But then you read and acquire all this knowledge, and you never share it?”. At that point the penny dropped and I realised he was right. In fact, regurgitating and opining on what one has read is a helpful way to understand and retain the data.
Thanks Freddy, this could be the start of an illustrious blogging identity or perhaps a nosedive into the hay like previous attempts at journal writing.
